Dr.B.N.Shivaprasad had his undergraduate training from Osmania medical college and holds the M.B.B.S degree from Osmania University Hyderabad. As a post graduate of the prestigious Regional Institute of ophthalmology Sarojini Devi eye Hospital at Hyderabad he was trained under the illustrious Padmabhushan Dr.P.Sivareddy and was awarded the M.S degree in 1985.

          Immediately after his post graduation he joined his senior colleague at Mac Robert eye hospital, Dhariwal. During his stay there he honed his skills and gained a wide surgical experience performing more than 10000 surgeries extending across all fields of ophthalmology. Gaining further experience with short stints at Mahaboobnagar Menonite Bretheren medical centre for 6 months, Lions eye hospital and cornea grafting centre Bangalore as director of Netra Jyothi moile unit for a year, Prabha eye clinic as Consultant for 4 years he moved over to Hassan and started Keshava netralaya in 1991.
